Based in Houston, Texas, ConnectGen is a multi-technology renewable energy platform focused on advancing projects from greenfield development and origination through construction and operations. We currently have over 20,000 MW of wind, solar and energy storage projects in development across the United States.
We take pride in how we develop projects. Successful project development and execution requires substantial engagement and participation from a diverse group of stakeholders. We believe working closely with the communities where we operate results in better projects that will play an essential role in improving grid reliability and strengthening the country’s economy.
Founded in 2018, our experienced team has collectively developed, built, financed and operated tens of thousands of megawatts of energy projects across the U.S.
ConnectGen is wholly-owned by Repsol, a global multi-energy company that leads the energy transition and has set itself the goal of being zero net emissions by 2050.

In March 2024, Repsol, a global multi-energy company, acquired ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group. The ConnectGen team, including senior management is now a part of Repsol.
Repsol’s acquisition of ConnectGen strengthens Repsol’s expansion into the renewable energy industry, reinforcing its international portfolio in support of its strategic target of 20,000 MW of installed capacity by 2030.
